Sarah HayrikyanChief Operations Officer

Sarah joined Fios Genomics in September 2024 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in December 2025. She brings extensive experience in operational leadership, strategic delivery, and performance optimisation, with a strong focus on building high-performing teams and scalable operational frameworks to support sustainable growth.

Sarah started her professional career in Boston, Massachusetts where she coordinated multi-network research at the Department of Population Medicine of Harvard Medical School. She then held a multifaceted project management role at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard where she provided central organisation within the Centre for the Development of Therapeutics along with management of the Drug Repurposing Hub. Returning to Scotland, Sarah built and led a global Integrated Drug Discovery program management team within Eurofins Discovery.

As Chief Operations Officer, Sarah oversees technical and business operations, project management, and HR, working closely with our CEO and senior leadership to implement strategic initiatives. With an engineering degree and continued education in applied mathematics, Sarah combines analytical rigour with a pragmatic, creative approach to enhance Fios Genomics’ mission of delivering leading genomic and bioinformatic analysis services.
