2022 has been a busy year at Fios Genomics! Here we share the bioinformatics trends we have seen this year in terms of analysis types and research areas.  You can also discover our highlights from the last 12 months and learn about our plans for 2023!

Bioinformatics Projects

As a bioinformatics company we provide a wide range of bioinformatics services including everything from ATAC-seq analysis to single-cell analysis. We also work across a variety of research applications including respiratory research, vaccine research and agricultural research, to name just a few. Our variety of services means that we work with a range of clients from pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, CROs as well as academia. This year alone we have worked on around 150 bioinformatics analysis projects and each has been different from the last!

Publication Acknowledgements

It is never a requirement for our clients to acknowledge our work for them in their research publications. However, we are thrilled when they do! Therefore we would like to thank Sapience Therapeutics, Queen’s Medical Research Institute and Androvia LifeSciences for their acknowledgements. You can view the research publications these companies acknowledge Fios Genomics in below:

Getting out more

We have greatly enjoyed our travels this year, appreciating the chance to meet our clients face-to-face again after the pandemic. We also attended many conferences and events and clearly our team were happy to be on the road again!

Our New Office

One of our biggest highlights of the year is our new office in Edinburgh which opened in May 2022. The design meets the needs of our diverse workforce with bookable hotdesking for remote workers who fancy a change of scenery, quiet spaces for focused tasks, a variety of meeting rooms for hosting clients and a kitchen large enough to host company bake-sales. We have some very talented bakers in the Fios team!
